Ettie-jane (Podiatrist/ Clinic owner)

My journey into Podiatry began in a place I never expected, but it has become my greatest passion. In March 2018, I joined a Podiatry clinic as a receptionist, working alongside Mrs Humble-Thomas shortly after the clinic moved into new premises built by my father. From behind the desk, I watched how profoundly Foot Health could change lives. Seeing patients walk in with pain and leave with relief after just one appointment inspired me. I knew I wanted to be part of that.

After five months, I began training as a Foot Health Professional and qualified in December 2019 with The SMAE Institute in Maidenhead. I soon began treating patients, providing routine foot care and building strong clinical experience. But I wanted to help people on a deeper level and offer a wider range of treatments, so I continued my journey.

In September 2020, I enrolled on a four-year BSc (Hons) Podiatry degree with The SMAE Institute, awarded by Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. I graduated in August 2024 and am now a fully qualified HCPC registered Podiatrist (Registration: CH037174) and member of the Royal College of Podiatrists (MRCPod).

I also hold POM-A and POM-S annotations, allowing me to safely administer and supply a range of prescription-only medications, including local anaesthetic and antibiotics. This enables me to carry out advanced podiatric treatments and minor procedures with patient comfort and safety as my priority.

My Approach

All I have ever wanted is for my clinic to be a safe, welcoming space where every patient feels comfortable, listened to and truly cared for. We are a family-run, friendly team, and we pride ourselves on offering professional care with a personal touch.

I understand that foot problems can affect confidence, mental wellbeing and quality of life and that sometimes people feel nervous seeking treatment. That’s why I take the time to listen, explain every step clearly, and create a calm, reassuring environment. Your comfort and wellbeing come first, always.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Karen (Receptionist)

Every great clinic needs a warm heart at its centre – and for us, that’s Karen. As our receptionist, Karen keeps the clinic running smoothly and makes sure every patient feels welcome from the moment they walk through the door.

Not only is Karen the friendly voice you’ll usually hear when you call the clinic, but she also handles all our bookings and enquiries with care and efficiency. She is kind, professional, and always happy to help.

Karen is known for:

  • Giving the warmest welcomes

  • Keeping everything beautifully organised

  • Making sure patients feel relaxed and looked after

  • Being a brilliant listener and enjoying a friendly chat

  • And of course… making the best tea and coffee!

As well as being our reception superstar, Karen is also family – the proud mum of our clinic owner – which might explain why she keeps us all in line!

Whether you’re booking your first appointment or popping in for your regular visit, Karen is here to make your experience smooth, friendly, and enjoyable. Pop by reception, and you’ll most likely find her with a smile (and a cuppa on the go!).

Brandon (The organiser behind the scenes)

Every successful clinic needs someone quietly making sure everything runs like clockwork and in our case, that’s Brandon. Working behind the scenes, Brandon keeps Sterling Foot Clinic organised, efficient, and moving forward.

From managing admin to handling systems, paperwork, and all the little details that keep the business running smoothly, Brandon is the person who makes sure nothing gets missed. His support allows the clinical team to focus on patient care, knowing that everything else is under control.

Although much of his work takes place out of sight, you may also see Brandon on reception from time to time when Karen is away, where he is always happy to lend a hand and greet patients with a friendly, professional manner.
